Welcome to the staging ground for new communities! Each proposal has a description in the "Descriptions" category and a body of questions and answers in "Incubator Q&A". You can ask questions (and get answers, we hope!) right away, and start new proposals.

Are you here to participate in a specific proposal? Click on the proposal tag (with the dark outline) to see only posts about that proposal and not all of the others that are in progress. Tags are at the bottom of each post.

How should we indicate non-Q&A categories for Incubator posts?

Some proposals include categories beyond the defaults of Q&A and Meta. We don't have all those categories here on the proposals site, but we need a way to indicate which category a post is intended for if it's not the default of Q&A. In addition to communicating more clearly in the incubator, labeling them in some consistent way will make it easier for us to move things to the right places when a proposal is launched.

I propose that we use tags named category- plus the category name, such as category-workshop for the "workshop" category on the Worldbuilding proposal. I've taken the liberty of applying such a tag to one question, but if folks want to do this some other way, that's easy to change.

I like the idea of using tags for this, but this may outgrow the 5 tag limit, especially if a post includes tags for multiple categories and multiple proposed communities.

This might increase the priority of Assessing the 5 tag limit.
