Welcome to the staging ground for new communities! Each proposal has a description in the "Descriptions" category and a body of questions and answers in "Incubator Q&A". You can ask questions (and get answers, we hope!) right away, and start new proposals.

Are you here to participate in a specific proposal? Click on the proposal tag (with the dark outline) to see only posts about that proposal and not all of the others that are in progress. Tags are at the bottom of each post.

I remember seeing some Finance questions on our Incubator Q&A? Where did they go? I can't find them!

There were two questions, both with flags and several downvotes (no upvotes). One was deleted for plagiarism. The other included a bunch of links and asked for counter-arguments; it was broad and vague and the question here did not contain the salient points. People would have had to go read half a dozen other articles in order to (maybe) figure out what the question was. It felt more like a "prove them wrong!" challenge than an actual question, and we didn't feel it was salvagable.

There's now a Finance proposal with a significant scope description, so I hope people will ask questions that fit with that scope and meet all the other baseline expectations for questions.

I was asked in a comment for the text, so that people could review our actions. One of them, as I said, was plagiarized, so I won't repost that one -- I'd be repeating the appropriation of someone else's work. Here is the text of the other, with links redacted:

When ought amateur retail investors buy to open Leveraged ETF's?

When can Leveraged ETFs behoove amateur retail investors? When's it shrewd for amateur investors to buy LETF's?

Most investors warn against LETF's for amateur retail investors. But how can you Counter Argue <link1>, <link2>, <link3>, <link4>, <link5>?

We are playing Devil's Advocate here. Your answer MUST plump and tout the benefits of LETF's for amateur retail investors.

See my edit. I've added text for one and explained why I can't add the other.

The leveraged ETF question seems salvageable and on-topic to me (and I'd be interested!) but it definitely needs to be written very differently.

Karl Knechtel‭l, please feel free to re-ask the question differently. If it's something you're interested in, then you can ask the question you have as opposed to trying to rework the deleted one.
