Can I use Selenium to automate CLS testing?

I've been bitten several times by cumulative layout shift (CLS) issues with my website. I've found out about them when I view the reports in Google Search Console.

We have a good set of tests for our website that we run on our staging server using Selenium. I was thinking it should be possible to add CLS tests to this test suite. Can selenium detect and alert on CLS? How is it done?
