Welcome to the staging ground for new communities! Each proposal has a description in the "Descriptions" category and a body of questions and answers in "Incubator Q&A". You can ask questions (and get answers, we hope!) right away, and start new proposals.

How can I make my own compass out of wood?- Ideally, I'd like something that:
- * Handles diameters from 3 in to 2 ft
- * Has minimal non-wooden parts like screws
- * Light duty but shouldn't fall apart after a handful of uses
- * Can change the pencil easily, and replace pencil with a needle or marking knife
- * As easy as possible to construct
- I have access to basic woodworking tools (hand and power) and am comfortable with basic woodworking techniques.
