Welcome to the staging ground for new communities! Each proposal has a description in the "Descriptions" category and a body of questions and answers in "Incubator Q&A". You can ask questions (and get answers, we hope!) right away, and start new proposals.
Are you here to participate in a specific proposal? Click on the proposal tag (with the dark outline) to see only posts about that proposal and not all of the others that are in progress. Tags are at the bottom of each post.

This proposal covers any topic in finance, from Personal to Quantitative. I came to Codidact because StackExchange lacks a website that covers ALL of finance! For instance, S.E. excludes Corporate Finance. And Quant S.E. is limited to

would confront in the course of their job or studies.
Topics
Topics covered would include:
-
Personal investing and asset allocation
-
Best practices for saving for retirement, education, and other goals
-
Insurance, including life, home, auto, health
-
Use of software for managing one's finances. (Not recommendations, just questions regarding specific software)
-
Securities trading and investing, whether long- or short-term, as practiced by retail traders and investors. (Excludes specific security recommendations, stock tips/discussion, forecasts.)
-
Investing and trading strategies, including fundamental and technical analysis and other techniques, as practiced by retail traders and investors. (again excluding specific recommendations and evaluation of conditions)
-
corporate or government finance
-
Questions about Bitcoin (or other crypto-currencies)
-
personal finance or government policy
-
securities valuation
-
risk modeling
-
market microstructure

portfolio management
-

Special Features
This needs MathJax.
Overlaps
Plainly, Finance overlaps with Math and Physics. Finance is based on math. Many quants studied physics.
