Incubator Q&A

Welcome to the staging ground for new communities! Each proposal has a description in the "Descriptions" category and a body of questions and answers in "Incubator Q&A". You can ask questions (and get answers, we hope!) right away, and start new proposals.

Are you here to participate in a specific proposal? Click on the proposal tag (with the dark outline) to see only posts about that proposal and not all of the others that are in progress. Tags are at the bottom of each post.

Bright-background map to be kinder to printers.
 • You can use ASCII representations of hexagonal grid maps [as shown on Rogue Basin][1].[^1] If doing so feels less tedious than making a picture directly, you could take this map and write a script to build you an SVG.

Let's do the whole thing, shall we?
 • You can use ASCII representations of hexagonal grid maps [as shown on Rogue Basin][1].[^1] If doing so feels less tedious than making a picture directly, you could fill in the map and write a script to build you an SVG.

You can use ASCII representations of hexagonal grid maps [as shown on Rogue Basin][1].[^1] If that was less tedious than making a picture directly, you could fill in the map and write a script to build you an SVG.

```
.Ind. . . . ~ ^ ^ ^ . . . . . . .
. . . .Cin~ ~ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ . . . . .
. . . ~ . . ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ . .Ral. .
. . .Lou.Lex. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ . . . . .
. ~ ~ . . . ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ . . .Wil
. ~ . . . . ^ ^ . ^ ^ ^ . . . .
~ . . . . ^ ^Knx^ ^ ^ . . . .
~ ~ ~ ~Nsh^ ^ . ^ ^ ^ .Col~ ~
~ ~ . . ^ ~Cht^ ^ ^ ~ . . .Chr
~ . ~ . . ~ ^ . ^ ^ . ~ ~ ~
. . ~ ~ ~ ^ ^ .Atl. . . .Sav
. . . . . . ^ ^ . . . . . .
```

The ASCII itself is probably even harder to read than the original, unless the text is colored.

[^1]:Fun fact: Your simplified map is rotated 30° from the original. The even-only grid works with the original map, though.
