Incubator Q&A

Welcome to the staging ground for new communities! Each proposal has a description in the "Descriptions" category and a body of questions and answers in "Incubator Q&A". You can ask questions (and get answers, we hope!) right away, and start new proposals.

Are you here to participate in a specific proposal? Click on the proposal tag (with the dark outline) to see only posts about that proposal and not all of the others that are in progress. Tags are at the bottom of each post.

  • I do not know why this happened, but I did figure out a solution which seems like it permanently solves it.
  • Whenever a block is placed in the world, the chunk updates such that the y level of that block is now considered the tallest point at that [x, y] coordinate, for maps and mods reading the height. Therefore, all that is necessary, is to cover the entire existing world with a temporary roof.
  • It's easiest to either use WorldEdit or the `/fill` command to place and remove that roof above all the chunks.

  • Whenever a block is placed in the world, the chunk updates such that the y level of that block is now considered the tallest point at that [x, z] coordinate, for maps and mods reading the height. Therefore, all that is necessary, is to cover the entire existing world with a temporary roof.

Whenever a block is placed in the world, the chunk updates such that the y level of that block is now considered the tallest point at that [x, y] coordinate, for maps and mods reading the height. Therefore, all that is necessary, is to cover the entire existing world with a temporary roof.

It's easiest to either use WorldEdit or the `/fill` command to place and remove that roof above all the chunks.
