Incubator Q&A

Welcome to the staging ground for new communities! Each proposal has a description in the "Descriptions" category and a body of questions and answers in "Incubator Q&A". You can ask questions (and get answers, we hope!) right away, and start new proposals.

Are you here to participate in a specific proposal? Click on the proposal tag (with the dark outline) to see only posts about that proposal and not all of the others that are in progress. Tags are at the bottom of each post.

> Could the pipe be leaking nonetheless?

Yes. I had a pipe leak (inside) that was extremely slow. So slow, in fact, that we only noticed when the stairway door had remained shut for a week or more. There was enough buildup finally to notice a smell.[^smell]

If your leak is outdoors, you might never smell it. Regrettably, I don't have any tips for how to check.

I have also seen gas leaks literally bubbling out of the asphalt on the street. A big leak can definitely do that, smells and all.

Good luck!

[^smell]: You may not know this (I certainly didn't), but the odorous chemical decays to another scent. Just as distinctive, but very different.
