Checking in on Webmasters
Our largest proposal (by number of questions) is Webmasters. Most of the questions are well-received, about half are answered, and there has been little recent activity. I'd like to understand the current situation better.
Is a potential webmasters community here and lurking, but y'all got tired of waiting for us to talk about advancement? Was there an initial burst of activity and then interest dropped? Did we run out of questions? Has the field fundamentally changed with recent changes in the tech world and the topic needs a different framing?
We don't want the incubator to be the place where good ideas go to die, and we also don't want to launch communities that will struggle with even minimal activity (trying to learn from some of our early launches). How are people feeling about Webmasters today?

Unless Stephen Ostermiller[1] comes back, I think that ship may have sailed. Stephen and Matthew Snyder provided the overwhelming majority of the questions and a lot of the answers, too.
I haven't done an exhaustive sorting of the questions, but many of them fall into these buckets:
- TLS and certificate management
- DNS and domains
- Content and SEO
- A few hosting questions
- (Everything else)
The questions were mostly (maybe even all) good, but there's a lot of overlap in Webmasters problem space with Linux, Power Users, and even Software. New users (and even Matthew) started asking similar questions in those other communities instead.
We haven't yet had an SEO or marginal hosting question on any of them, or even on WM in some time. That may be because proposed communities are hard to discover, or just that without Stephen's determination that there aren't that many people who find CD when they're looking for a place to ask WM questions.
