Details tags to avoid spoilers in comments on Puzzles
I raised on the main Meta Should details tags work in comments? and the results were mixed, including some people strongly opposed to the idea. I expect that different communities will have different reasons for and against, so I'm posting here to get the thoughts of this specific community (Puzzles).
If there is support here for being able to hide sections of a comment to allow discussing a puzzle without spoiling it, then that might be a reason to make this a community-specific setting, so communities that don't want details sections in comments can leave them disabled, but Puzzles can enable them (once promoted to its own community).

I think spoilers (similar to Someplace Else where they use something like !> or alternatively clicking a formatting icon) will be useful for all manner of sites, sooner or later. The <details> <summary> HTML stuff is clunky and cumbersome, no matter if part of an answer or comment.
Spoilers are useful for Puzzles, maybe for Code Golf, definitely for sites discussing literature or movies etc.
The HTML is already available and easy enough to type. If you want to add a Markdown syntax to generate that HTML, please make it opt-out. Actually a global opt-out of Markdown per user would be better anyway. Markdown is too often triggered unintentionally by ordinary text.
