Missing missing digit Question
A 3 by 3 grid contains each digit exactly once, except one missing digit.
A 3 by 3 arrangement of 9 such grids has one missing digit per grid. Each digit is missing from exactly one grid, except one digit that is not missing from any of them (the missing missing digit).
Which digit is not missing from any of the 9 grids shown below?
2 1 7 6 2 8 3 4 5
0 6 5 1 5 9 9 1 6
9 3 4 4 3 7 0 8 7
3 2 9 2 9 0 5 7 8
4 5 7 8 7 1 6 3 1
0 1 8 6 5 3 4 0 2
4 6 0 1 5 2 0 3 4
2 3 1 6 9 4 9 2 5
9 7 8 0 8 7 6 8 1

I didn't look for missing digits at all; I looked for a digit that appears in all nine grids, and since I started with 1 and worked up, it was a quick search.
Unless I've misunderstood the question?
